Just like the original Sweet Bonanza, Sweet Bonanza 1000 has a 6-column, 5-row grid. There is no need to “connect” symbols as you would on a traditional slot, but at least 8 – 9 symbols of the same kind must appear on the grid for you to get paid. 

If you find 12+ matching symbols on a single spin, you’ll win up to 50x your spin during the base game. Hearts are the most valuable icon to see. One of this slot’s defining features are tumbling wins, meaning that you can trigger more than one winning combination on the same spin. 

Matching symbols “pop” and disappear, and the symbols directly above fall in their place. This mechanic allows for unexpected payouts, especially during the bonus round, where additional multipliers can rear their heads at any given moment.

There’s also a multiplier symbol (in the form of a colorful candy bomb) that can appear during the free spins game, offering between 2x – 1,000x your bet straightaway. In the original game, this multiplier symbol only reaches 2x – 100x. 

You can buy the bonus for 100x your bet size or trigger the ante bet to double your chance of winning this feature for an extra 25% of your wager. The only way to trigger Super Free Spins, where all bomb multipliers land at a minimum of 20x, is to spend 500x your current bet.  

My Take 

Sweet Bonanza 1000 is a fantastic and much-needed upgrade to the original Sweet Bonanza. The main draw of Sweet Bonanza 1000 compared to the original game is an increased 25,000x maximum win compared to the original game’s maximum payout of 21,100x your wager. 

You can bet up to $300 per spin on the “1000” variant compared to a max of $125 on Sweet Bonanza, bringing unprecedented possibilities to light for big spenders. 

With the addition of a newly enhanced multiplier symbol up to 1,000x, the Super Free Spins bonus, and a larger range of betting options for high rollers, it expands on Sweet Bonanza’s best features while keeping the sounds and sugary-sweet theme that propelled it to popularity. 

In exchange for all this, Sweet Bonanza 1000 offers a slightly lower 96.53% RTP. The original game has a 96.60% RTP during the base game, which isn’t too much of a jump in my opinion.
