Scrooge Casino have some unexpectedly powerful promos, including their first purchase discount which comes with plenty of free spins and free SC.
It’s not necessary to purchase Gold Coins before playing games at Scrooge but there are some good deals to be had. I happen to be a player at Scrooge, and I’ll show you how to stack up the most free Sweeps Coins through all the ways possible at this casino.

Let’s take a closer look at the no-deposit bonus I received for signing up:
No-Deposit / Join Bonus
Scrooge Casino gave me 2 million Gold Coins and 250 free Sweeps Tokens after I made a new account and verified my email address. While getting 250 free ST sounds ridiculously awesome, it’s worth remembering that 100 ST has the same redemption value as 1 SC at competing sites.
That said, you’re actually getting the equivalent of 2.5 free SC to start. This is still a competitive reward, especially considering that you also get 2 million Gold Coins to try the reels before you drop your free SC on their games. I’m also a fan of how easy it was for me to get the ball rolling.
Signing up with Scrooge was super-simple. I was prompted to enter my email before filling in my name, creating a username, selecting my birthday, entering my residential address, and adding my mobile phone number. You can also link your Facebook or Google account to auto-fill data.
Here’s how Scrooge’s bonus compares to the rewards I’ve gotten from nine competing casinos:
Sweepstakes Casino | No-Deposit Bonus |
---|---|
Zula Casino | 120,000 GC + 10 free SC |
Fortune Coins | 630,000 GC + 900 free FC (9 SC) |
Yay Casino | 50,000 GC + 5 free SC |
McLuck Casino | 7,500 GC + 5 free SC |
The Money Factory | 15,000 GC + 3 free SC |
Scrooge Casino | 2,000,000 GC + 250 free ST (2.5 SC) |
Hello Millions | 15,000 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Jackpota | 7,500 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Playfame | 7,500 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Mega Bonanza | 7,500 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Chumba Casino | 2,000,000 GC + 2 free SC |
Scrooge ranks near the middle of my list, coming in sixth place with bonuses that supersede the offers I’ve claimed at Hello Millions, Jackpota, Playfame, and Mega Bonanza. While all five sites give you the same number of SC to start, Scrooge outdoes the competition with two million GC.
Similarly, Chumba and Scrooge deliver the same number of Gold Coins upfront. The difference is that Scrooge gives you an extra 0.5 free SC (50 ST) in comparison to Chumba’s 2 SC bonus.
Most sweepstakes casinos give players between 1 – 3 free SC as a starting reward, but a select handful of platforms are re-defining the meaning of “generous” with bonuses that hover between 5 – 10 free SC. Going forward, Scrooge should aim to surpass The Money Factory’s 3 SC offer.
Scrooge Bonus Code
No bonus code needed – use this link to get the max join bonus at Scrooge
While Scrooge has a space to include bonus codes in their Coin Store, I’ve never had to use a bonus code before claiming their no-deposit reward, daily login offer, or first purchase discount.
After signing up and following their instructions, coins were credited to my account right away.
I appreciate how easy they’ve made it to get free ST without remembering a specific Scrooge bonus code.
Welcome Bonus
Scrooge has two first purchase discounts on tap for new players, and I’m listing them both here:
- $9.99 – 1,500,000 GC + 2,500 free ST
- $25.99 – 3,000,000 GC + 3,000 free ST + 35 free spins (20 ST each) on Wild Buffalo 2
Depending on how much you’re willing to spend, Scrooge caters to a handful of player budgets. I would like to see them offer something a bit cheaper for players who can’t afford to spend $10 on Gold Coins, but no matter which of their bundles you pick, you’re getting a pretty good deal.
Their $9.99 package credits your account with 1.5 million GC and 2,500 free ST, which equates to 25 free SC at competing sites. This discount delivers a 150% boost, putting Scrooge directly on par with time-tested industry standards.
I bought $9.99 worth of GC to get their 150% boost. Here’s how it stacks up against other sites:
Sweepstakes Casino | First Purchase Bonus | Discounted Price | Boost Percentage |
---|---|---|---|
Fortune Coins | 1,758,000 GC + 879 free FC | $1.99 | 441% boost |
Zula Casino | 100,000 GC + 5 free SC | $0.99 | 400% boost |
Crown Coins | 400,000 GC + 18 free SC | $5.99 | 200% boost |
Chumba Casino | 10,000,000 GC + 30 free SC | $10.00 | 200% boost |
Yay Casino | 300,000 GC + 30 free SC | $9.99 | 200% boost |
Scrooge Casino | 1,500,000 GC + 2,500 free ST (25 SC) | $9.99 | 150% boost |
Playfame | 60,000 GC + 25 free SC | $9.99 | 150% boost |
Jackpota | 50,000 GC + 25 free SC | $9.99 | 150% boost |
Mega Bonanza | 50,000 GC + 25 free SC | $9.99 | 150% boost |
TaoFortune | 225,000 GC + 12.5 free SC | $4.99 | 150% boost |
Pulsz Casino | 400,000 GC + 40 free SC | $19.99 | 100% boost |
Scrooge Casino’s $9.99 discount ranks in sixth place on my list. Their first purchase discount is more generous than Playfame, Jackpota, and Mega Bonanza because they offer 1.5 million GC as opposed to just 50,000 or 60,000 GC. However, all four sites give you 25 free SC for $9.99.
If you decide to spend $25.99, you’ll collect double the number of Gold Coins and get 3,000 ST to match. Best of all, you’ll receive 35 free spins on Wild Buffalo 2 at a value of 20 ST each. So, for $25.99, you’re actually getting the equivalent of 37 free SC in terms of your bonus and spins.
While it’s clear that their $9.99 discount is the more cost-effective option, I like how they add the possibility to claim free ST spins for players that want to try new and exciting slots!
Daily Rewards / Login Bonus
Scrooge Casino’s daily login really needs some work. If you’re just starting out here, you’re only entitled to 10 ST (0.1 free SC) every 24 hours.
I collected 10 free ST each day by toggling their menu, opening “Daily Rewards,” and clicking “Claim Reward.” The only way to improve your daily login is by progressing through the ranks of their VIP Program.
As you play games, you’ll earn an undisclosed number of VIP Points per wager. I’ve been using their website on-and-off for the past several months, and I still haven’t managed to get to Bronze VIP. Just in case you get luckier than me, reaching Bronze VIP unlocks their daily prize wheel.
Read this Scrooge casino review for and in-depth look at all of their bonuses, game selection, customer service and safety to see how legit they really are.
In comparison to their shoddy 10 ST reward for new players, spinning their VIP Wheel ensures that you’ll win between 50 ST and 150 ST every 24 hours. This equates to 0.5 – 1.5 free SC per day, but this still isn’t great in comparison to the guaranteed bonuses I’ve received elsewhere:
Sweepstakes Casino | Daily Bonus (GC + SC) |
---|---|
Chumba Casino | Starts at 50,000 GC + 0.25 SC, goes up to 600,000 GC + 3 SC on Day 7 |
Fortune Coins | 200k GC + 100 FC (Day 1), 400k GC + 100 FC (Day 2), 660k GC + 110 FC (Day 3) |
Jackpota | Claim 1,500 GC + 0.2 free SC to start, get up to 1,500 GC + 2 free SC with continuous logins |
Zula Casino | 10,000 GC + 1 free SC (consistent) |
Yay Casino | 5,000 GC + 0.5 free SC (can grow with time) |
The Money Factory | Starts at 20,000 GC + 0.2 SC, goes up to 100,000 GC + 0.5 SC on Day 7 |
Crown Coins | Starts at 5,000 GC, goes up to 100,000 GC + 0.5 free SC + mystery GC + SC login wheel on Day 7 |
McLuck Casino | Starts at 1,500 GC + 0.2 SC, goes up to 800 GC + 0.4 SC on Day 7 |
Mega Bonanza | 1,500 GC + 0.2 free SC (consistent) |
Scrooge Casino | 10 free ST (0.1 SC) per day, access to VIP Wheel (50 ST – 150 ST) after Bronze |
If they were more transparent about what you have to spend in order to unlock their VIP Wheel, I wouldn’t rank them dead-last. However, that isn’t the case, and they barely make the cut here.
Even Mega Bonanza outshines Scrooge Casino with their own daily login reward of 1,500 GC + 0.2 free SC. At one time, Scrooge handed out the equivalent of 0.2 free SC per day, so it’s very disappointing to see them cut this reward in half.
My advice? Unless you’re totally fine with making purchases (or sticking to GC gameplay), you should get started with Chumba or Fortune Coins. Both sites put Scrooge to shame with daily rewards hovering between 1 – 3 free SC. This is the equivalent of 100 – 300 free ST at Scrooge.
Gold Coin Packages

You can purchase Gold Coins with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Diners Club International, and JCB. Scrooge used to accept cryptocurrency payments, but sweepstakes regulations have forced them to switch back to fiat currency in recent months.
I’m not a huge fan of their $5.00 purchase minimum, especially when sites like Chumba feature introductory GC packages for as little as $1.00 upfront. Still, as opposed to a site like Chumba, I appreciate how Scrooge Casino guarantees free ST with all their non-discounted GC packages.
Speaking of which, here’s a list of the standard GC bundles you can repeatedly buy at Scrooge:
- $5 – 500,000 GC + 500 free ST
- $10 – 1,000,000 GC + 1,000 free ST
- $25 – 2,500,000 GC + 2,500 free ST
- $50 – 5,000,000 GC + 5,000 free ST
- $100 – 10,000,000 GC + 10,000 free ST
- $250 – 2,500,000 GC + 25,000 free ST
You’re always getting at least 100 free ST per dollar spent, which equates to 1 free SC. I would like to see Scrooge implement some built-in discounts at the higher levels of their GC purchase menu, but I can’t complain about a fair-and-square deal.
VIP/Loyalty Program
Scrooge Casino’s triple-tiered VIP Program has lots of potential at first glance, but unclear terms and unknown SC spending requirements leave players (myself included) in the dark. As I stated a little bit earlier, you have to reach Bronze VIP in order to unlock more generous daily bonuses.

Selecting “VIP Club” at the top of the page indicates your current VIP status, and hovering your cursor over the information button shows you a quick breakdown of potential benefits. I made a quick table documenting what you can expect as you reach Bronze, Silver, and eventually Gold:
VIP Tier | VIP Benefits |
---|---|
Start | N/A |
Bronze | Priority Redemptions, Monthly Loyalty Gifts, 14-Day ST Reviews, Access to VIP Wheel |
Silver | All Bronze Benefits, Priority Reviews, Bigger Exclusive Promos, Birthday Bonus, Free Spin Gifts, Priority Support |
Gold | All Bronze and Silver Benefits, Saturday Redemptions, 7-Day ST Reviews, Bigger ST Reviews, Surprise Random Drops, Personalized Promos |
While priority redemptions and monthly loyalty gifts sound great, I have to question the veracity of their claims when it’s not even clear how many VIP Points are required to move from level to level. I’d love to give this program a higher ranking, but their support was rather unhelpful when I contacted them for a better explanation of the rules.
Mail-in Offers/Envelopes
As required by law, Scrooge accepts mail-in SC requests from their players. You’ll get 100 free ST for each request that qualifies. You’re only permitted to send out one envelope per day, and they enforce this rule by limiting players to a single Postal Request Code every 24 hours.
I’ve sent written requests to Scrooge before, and the reward is unappetizing enough that there’s not a huge backlog as I’ve personally experienced at sites including Chumba and WOW Vegas.
You shouldn’t have to wait longer than 4 – 6 weeks for your coins to be credited to your account. If you’re pinched for time, that’s where Scrooge shines brightest. I’m taking you through each of the steps I followed to submit written requests, and I’m including screenshots for clarification:
1. Send a brief email to info@scrooge.casino with the subject line “Postal Request Code.” You’ll receive a response containing your 12-digit code from one of their staff members. Be sure to send your message using the same email address that you registered with!

2. While you’re waiting for somebody to email you a new code, grab a stamped #10 envelope. Write your return address and include the words “Sweepstakes Entries” underneath. Address it to SCROOGE LLC 5625 N German Church Rd Unit #2105 Indianapolis, IN 46235. Your envelope should look like this when you’re finished:

3. Get a piece of blank, unlined, 4” x 6” request paper. In order to be accepted, you’ll need to make sure these measurements are 100% accurate. If you don’t have pre-sized note cards, I’d recommend getting a piece of computer paper and a pair of scissors instead.
Before anything else, write your Postal Request Code at the top-left corner of the paper. Then, write your full name, the email registered to your account, your return/residential address, and their quoted sweepstakes statement in this order.
Their statement should be included exactly as written (yes, even the all-caps):
“I wish to receive Sweeps Tokens to participate in the sweepstakes promotions offered by SCROOGE Casino. By submitting this request, I hereby declare that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by SCROOGE Casino’s Terms and Conditions and Sweeps Rules.”
Here’s what a typical request card should look like when you’re finished writing it out:

You’re only permitted to include one request card per outer envelope. Because you’re only able to request one code per day and you need a new code for each request you plan on submitting, Scrooge effectively limits players to claiming 100 free ST every 24 hours using mail-in bonuses.
Here’s how Scrooge Casino’s mail-in reward compares to the bonuses I’ve gotten at nine other sweepstakes casinos:
Sweeps Casino | SC Mail-in Reward | Limit on Envelopes Sent? |
---|---|---|
Yay Casino | 5 free SC per envelope | No |
Chumba Casino | 5 free SC per envelope | No |
Zula Casino | 5 free SC per envelope | No |
Jackpota | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Playfame | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Mega Bonanza | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
McLuck Casino | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Crown Coins | 1 free SC per envelope | No |
Scrooge Casino | 100 free ST per envelope | One per day |
Unfortunately, Scrooge ranks dead-last on my list because they restrict players to claiming the equivalent of 1 free SC per day. While Crown Coins gives you the same reward per envelope, there’s no daily limit on the number of requests you can submit.
You’re getting less than a fifth of the potential bonus for the same amount of work that’s required by Yay Casino, Chumba, and Zula. Nonetheless, it’s one of the only reliable ways to collect free Sweeps Tokens at Scrooge without paying for the privilege or making it through to Bronze VIP.
Unlike Chumba, which sets codes to expire within 30 days of being shown on your screen, you will have 90 days to make sure envelopes reach their destination before your code expires and your request becomes void.
I appreciate how much time you’re given to collect these bonuses, even if the reward itself isn’t amazing. Plus, you’ll see your coins credited in a quicker time frame than competing platforms.
