Since opening back in 2017, Chumba has maintained relevance in a competitive industry by offering uniquely generous promotions like their star-studded daily login bonus and mail-in rewards.
In this report card, I’ll show you how to get the most free SC from Chumba and compare their bonuses and promotions to the rewards I’ve claimed elsewhere.

Let’s jump in to Chumba’s no-deposit offer and see how much free SC you’re getting upfront:
Bonus for Signing Up (No-Deposit)
Chumba gave me a starting, no-deposit bonus of 2 million Gold Coins and 2 free Sweeps Coins after I made a new account and verified my email. While I think they could be more generous in terms of how much free SC you’re actually getting, it was super easy for me to claim this bonus.
Signing up with Chumba was as simple as entering my first name, last name, email address and password. If you don’t feel like putting forth that much effort, it’s easy to connect your Facebook account with the site instead. Linking your Facebook profile auto-fills your personal information.
The majority of social and sweeps casinos give their players between 1 – 3 SC upfront, but this standard is quickly changing as sites like Zula Casino and Fortune Coins introduce exceedingly generous no-deposit offers.
At the top end of the food chain, you can get up to 120,000 GC and 10 free SC to kick things off at Zula Casino. Fortune Coins isn’t far behind with a no-deposit bonus that equates to 9 free SC as soon as you sign up. Here’s a quick glance at the rewards I’ve collected with nine other sites:
Sweepstakes Casino | No-Deposit Bonus |
---|---|
Zula Casino | 120,000 GC + 10 free SC |
Fortune Coins | 630,000 GC + 900 free FC (9 SC) |
Yay Casino | 50,000 GC + 5 free SC |
McLuck Casino | 7,500 GC + 5 free SC |
The Money Factory | 15,000 GC + 3 free SC |
Hello Millions | 15,000 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Jackpota | 7,500 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Playfame | 7,500 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Mega Bonanza | 7,500 GC + 2.5 free SC |
Chumba Casino | 2,000,000 GC + 2 free SC |
Crown Coins | 100,000 GC + 2 free SC |
Chumba ranks second-to-last, meaning that almost every social casino worth their salt has them beat in this department. It’s worth noting that Chumba’s no-deposit offer favors GC players more than Crown Coins’ starting bonus.
2 million GC can go a long way, even if you’re just testing out the controls before switching your gameplay over to Sweeps Coins. By comparison, 100,000 GC could be gone in just a few spins.
Given that Chumba’s daily reward is orders of magnitude more impressive than their no-deposit reward (more on this momentarily), it makes sense for Chumba to enhance their current sign-up bonus. Going forward, they should give players 5 free SC to start like McLuck and Yay Casino.
Chumba Bonus Code
There’s no bonus code required to participate in any of Chumba’s latest promotions. I was able to start playing games with the 2 million GC and 2 SC I earned right after confirming my email.
From start to finish, it took me a grand total of two minutes to register and start having fun here.
I appreciate how Chumba doesn’t force players to memorize specific codes before claiming SC.
Welcome / First Purchase Bonus

Chumba’s first purchase discount is fairly impressive, but it’s only accessible if you’re willing to spend $10 on Gold Coins. I purchased 10 million GC and claimed 30 free SC, which is a 200% boost compared to normal. That strikes me as a great bargain, especially at this price point!
My only complaint is that Chumba doesn’t offer anything cheaper for players who don’t want to spend $10. I’d like to see them introduce a less expensive discount in line with Zula Casino or Fortune Coins – both sites charge $0.99/$1.99 for the equivalent of 5 free SC or 8.79 free SC.
On that note, here’s how Chumba’s 200% discount stacks up against nine other social casinos:
Sweepstakes Casino | First Purchase Bonus | Discounted Price | Boost Percentage |
---|---|---|---|
Fortune Coins | 1,758,000 GC + 879 free FC | $1.99 | 441% boost |
Zula Casino | 100,000 GC + 5 free SC | $0.99 | 400% boost |
Crown Coins | 400,000 GC + 18 free SC | $5.99 | 200% boost |
Chumba Casino | 10,000,000 GC + 30 free SC | $10.00 | 200% boost |
Yay Casino | 300,000 GC + 30 free SC | $9.99 | 200% boost |
Playfame | 60,000 GC + 25 free SC | $9.99 | 150% boost |
Jackpota | 50,000 GC + 25 free SC | $9.99 | 150% boost |
Mega Bonanza | 50,000 GC + 25 free SC | $9.99 | 150% boost |
TaoFortune | 225,000 GC + 12.5 free SC | $4.99 | 150% boost |
Pulsz Casino | 400,000 GC + 40 free SC | $19.99 | 100% boost |
McLuck Casino | 80,000 GC + 40 free SC | $19.99 | 100% boost |
Chumba Casino ranks in fourth place on my list. Their first purchase discount is most similar to the welcome bonus I claimed at Yay Casino. While Yay Casino’s boost is a penny cheaper than Chumba’s, you’d only get 300,000 GC and 30 free SC instead of 10 million GC and 30 free SC.
Even though Gold Coins don’t have any prize redemption value, they’re a great way to trial new games without sacrificing the free SC you just earned. That’s why I appreciate Chumba’s desire to give players lots of GC.
Chumba’s discount is more generous than the bonuses I’ve gotten from Playfame, Jackpota, or Mega Bonanza. Spending $10 at any of these three casinos gets you 25 free SC as part of their shared, 150% boost. Chumba gives you five extra Sweeps Coins for an extra cent paid upfront.
And, really, who’s worried about a penny?
Daily Rewards / Login Bonus
Chumba’s daily login bonus might look unassuming at first glance, but staying the course leads to insane rewards as the end of the week grows near. I earned 50,000 GC and 0.25 free SC to get the ball rolling on my first day. Here’s how their bonuses ramp up over a seven-day period:
- Day 1: 50,000 GC + 0.25 free SC
- Day 2: 50,000 GC + 0.25 free SC
- Day 3: 100,000 GC + 0.5 free SC
- Day 4: 100,000 GC + 0.5 free SC
- Day 5: 200,000 GC + 1 free SC
- Day 6: 300,000 GC + 1.5 free SC
- Day 7: 600,000 GC + 3 free SC
This bonus is guaranteed if you sign into your account for seven days in a row. Skipping one day will set you back to the beginning. It requires more commitment than most casinos, but the juice is worth the squeeze IMO. By the end of the week, I collected 600,000 GC and 3 free SC!
I like how easy it is to get your hands on this reward – all I had to do was click “Get Coins” and toggle over to “Daily Bonus.” Finally, tapping “Claim” sent that day’s bonus right to my balance.
Here’s how their increasing daily bonus compares to those offered by nine competing casinos:
Sweepstakes Casino | Daily Bonus (GC + SC) |
---|---|
Chumba Casino | Starts at 50,000 GC + 0.25 SC, goes up to 600,000 GC + 3 SC on Day 7 |
Fortune Coins | 200k GC + 100 FC (Day 1), 400k GC + 100 FC (Day 2), 660k GC + 110 FC (Day 3) |
Jackpota | Claim 1,500 GC + 0.2 free SC to start, get up to 1,500 GC + 2 free SC with continuous logins |
Zula Casino | 10,000 GC + 1 free SC (consistent) |
Yay Casino | 5,000 GC + 0.5 free SC (can grow with time) |
The Money Factory | Starts at 20,000 GC + 0.2 SC, goes up to 100,000 GC + 0.5 SC on Day 7 |
Crown Coins | Starts at 5,000 GC, goes up to 100,000 GC + 0.5 free SC + mystery GC + SC login wheel on Day 7 |
Playfame | Starts at 1,500 GC + 0.2 SC, ends at 800 GC + 0.4 SC on Day 7 |
McLuck Casino | Starts at 1,500 GC + 0.2 SC, goes up to 800 GC + 0.4 SC on Day 7 |
Mega Bonanza | 1,500 GC + 0.2 free SC (consistent) |
Chumba ranks in first place on my list – they outdo Fortune Coins and Zula Casino by reaching greater heights for consistent players. While I don’t love how easy it is to get thrown off-track by skipping a day, I’ve never been able to get 3 free SC as a guaranteed daily bonus at other sites.
If you’re the kind of player who only pops into their favorite sweepstakes casino once in a while, I’d sooner suggest going with Zula or Fortune Coins. Both sites give you at least 1 free SC just for showing up, but neither casino offers the kind of increasing bonuses you’ll get with Chumba.
It’s a matter of preference, but if you can’t go without your daily spins, Chumba reigns supreme.
Gold Coin Packages

You can use all major bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Trustly Online Banking or Apple Pay to purchase Gold Coins and earn free Sweeps Coins. The majority of their GC packs come with free SC. If you buy at least $20 in GC, you’ll earn more than 1 SC per dollar spent.
I like how their purchase minimum starts at $1.00 for 200,000 GC, proving that they’re all about having fun at the end of the day. Here’s an updated list of Chumba’s non-discounted packages:
- $1 – 200,000 GC
- $5 – 1,000,000 GC + 4.9 free SC
- $10 – 2,500,000 GC
- $20 – 5,000,000 GC + 20.1 free SC
- $50 – 15,000,000 GC + 50 free SC
- $100 – 35,000,000 GC + 101.5 free SC
- $300 – 120,000,000 GC + 305 free SC
Their most expensive bundle will set you back $300 for 120,000,000 GC, and you’ll receive 305 free Sweeps Coins every time you purchase that many GC. Most casinos would credit you with 300 SC, but Chumba’s built-in discount proves their loyalty towards players with heavy pockets.
I have to reiterate that you’re never obligated to make purchases at Chumba – you can play all their games without spending a dime. That’s especially true if you put together a login streak to maximize your daily rewards!
VIP/Loyalty Program
Chumba doesn’t offer a VIP Program at this time. I’d also like to see them introduce site-wide SC tournaments similar to the competitions offered by McLuck, Fortune Coins, and Jackpota.
To give credit where it’s due, they recently introduced a new feature that I’m discussing below:
Honorable Mention: GC/SC Quests

For years, one of Chumba Casino’s most recognizable flaws has been their lack of tourneys and on-site competitions. While they’ve filled the gap to some degree with potentially lucrative social media giveaways, long-time players (myself included) have silently wanted more from Chumba.
Chumba’s GC and SC Quests capitalize on the exclusively entertaining nature of their top-notch games, many of which can’t be found elsewhere. Every hour on the hour, Chumba delivers new Quests to complete as you try your luck with an ever-changing stream of eligible slot machines.
I had an opportunity to play Wild Whiskers with Sweeps Coins, and I was prompted to pick one of the following Quests:
- Spin 8 times (0.25 SC spin minimum) – 1 SC prize
- Spin 16 times (1.25 SC spin minimum) – 3 SC prize
- Spin 10 times (5 SC spin minimum) – 10 SC prize
You can only choose one GC or SC Quest per hour, and you’re locked into your selection after clicking “Choose Quest.” If you complete the mission at hand, you’ll receive the GC or SC prize listed to the right of each quest. So, even if you lose the SC you spent, you’ll still get something.
I selected their most cost-effective Quest, forcing me to spend 0.25 SC per spin for at least eight tries. While I didn’t win anything from Wild Whiskers after dropping 2 SC on the reels, I was able to recoup 1 free SC as a consolation prize.
I love how they’ve followed a similar approach to Crown Coins’ “Daily Missions” while promising more generous SC prizes for less effort.
Mail-in Offers/Envelopes
Chumba accepts mail-in SC requests from their players, and you’ll claim 5 free SC for each one that qualifies. The process can be a little convoluted, especially if you’re not used to handwriting envelopes at competing sweeps casinos.
I’ve sent written requests to Chumba Casino before, and it’s taken as long as seven months for me to get free SC. Chumba cleared up their backlog by increasing the required age for sweeps participation from 18 years old to 21 years old, which brings the wait time down to 4 – 6 weeks.
While I don’t necessarily agree with their changes, it’s given them a way to expedite the process of getting your free coins. Plus, a real money casino would kick you out if you were 18, 19 or 20.
Section 3.2 (d) of Chumba’s Sweepstakes Rules explains the necessary steps in detail, and I’m breaking down the fine print so there’s no room for confusion. Let’s get started:
1. Get a stamped, #10 envelope. Write your return address and the words “Sweepstakes Entries” on the front of it. Finally, address your envelope to “CHUMBA CASINO SWEEPSTAKES DEPARTMENT, PO BOX #9501, PORTSMOUTH, NH 03802.”
Your envelope should look like this when you’re finished writing it out:

2. Click our link, select “Claim Bonus” to activate Chumba’s site, and scroll down until you see the “Postal Request Code” tab at the very bottom of your screen.

You’ll be redirected to the following page. Click the banner up top to “write” your name using the mouse cursor. Then, type your full name in the box below. Lastly, click and drag the arrow to the right to get your 12-digit Postal Request Code.

When prompted, scratch the “Postal Request Code” box to reveal your code. You need a new code for each request you plan on submitting, and you can request a code every few minutes.
Write your special code down before clicking “Return to Play” as it will be important momentarily.

3. Get a piece of request paper measuring four inches in length by six inches in width (4” x 6”). Your paper must be exactly this size in order to be accepted by Chumba’s staff, so I would highly recommend using a ruler to make sure this measurement is 100% correct.
Write your 12-digit Postal Request Code at the top-left corner of the request card. Write your full name, email address, return address, and their quoted sweepstakes statement underneath your Postal Request Code in that order.
Here’s the statement you’ll need to include exactly as written (minus the quotation marks):
“I wish to receive Sweeps Coins to participate in the sweepstakes promotions offered by Chumba Casino. By submitting this request, I hereby declare that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by Chumba Casino’s Terms and Conditions and Sweeps Rules.”
Your blank, unlined, 4” x 6” request card should look like this when you’re done with it:

You’re only allowed to include one request card per envelope, but there’s no limit on the number of requests you can send to Chumba’s registered address. Just keep in mind that each code will expire 30 days after being shown. In other words, you’re given a month to send out your letters.
Here’s how Chumba’s mail-in bonus compares to the rewards I’ve gotten at nine other casinos:
Sweeps Casino | SC Mail-in Reward | Limit on Envelopes Sent? |
---|---|---|
Yay Casino | 5 free SC per envelope | No |
Chumba Casino | 5 free SC per envelope | No |
Zula Casino | 5 free SC per envelope | No |
Jackpota | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Playfame | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Mega Bonanza | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
McLuck Casino | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Hello Millions | 4 free SC per envelope | No |
Crown Coins | 1 free SC per envelope | No |
They rank in second place on my list. While Yay Casino features an identical reward per letter, they don’t require players to include a Postal Request Code with each envelope. Yay Casino’s procedure demands less effort while giving you all the time in the world compared to Chumba.
Still, Chumba sets the standard with a top-of-the-line reward, and it’s worth jumping through the required hoops to collect 5 free SC per request. Plus, you won’t have to wait seven months for your SC drops to appear like I once did.
