VegasGems is a unique entry in the sweeps slots space with some features you won’t find anywhere else. The site has an impressive portfolio of 900+ slot games (including Pragmatic Play, EvoPlay and more) with support for credit cards and cryptocurrency. Crypto is a unique payment option for a sweeps casino and generally offers much faster settlement. I like how the site lists RTP (Return to Player) percentage clearly on every game and you can see recent winners across all slots. I also had excellent experiences with customer support. VegasGems also offers a rakeback program, which is basically a first for sweeps casinos.
We independently review every casino on this site and may be compensated if you play at a casino through one of our links. Learn More.

VegasGems Social Casino Overview
VegasGems is an interesting social casino that launched in 2023. It stands out from other sweeps casinos with its support for crypto and quality customer service. The site is registered to JSP Media Holdings LTD in Dublin, Ireland, and is available to players in 46 US States and many countries around the world.
The site currently offers over 500 different casino games from six different developers. Pragmatic Play games are featured prominently on the site but you’ll also find games from popular designers like EvoPlay and 3 Oaks.
One of the unique features of VegasGems is that it supports cryptocurrency for buying coin bundles and easy redemptions.

Bonuses & Promotions Available
VegasGems has some different bonuses and perks for players, but they work a little differently from competitors. Here’s a quick look up front:

No Deposit Bonus | Welcome Chest |
Welcome Chest | 50% boost (verify needed) |
Daily Login Bonus | Log-in Chests |
Mail in Envelope | Not available |
Social Media | No |
VIP Program | Yes (Level 1-120) |

Other Promos & Offers | Rakeback, Bejewel Cases |
You’ll find no standardized daily casino bonuses or no-deposit sign up bonuses. Instead VegasGems runs on a system of mystery boxes (called chests or cases). So to get your daily rewards and Gems bonus, it can vary on what’s in your Gems Case. These might be familiar if you’ve ever played popular online video games like Overwatch (where they were referred to as loot boxes). You can win a varying amount of coins in the chests.
Using a mystery box system for log-in bonuses is fine, in theory, but it’s challenging to actually open any of the chests because VegasGems requires players to have an account balance below .25 SC to claim.
Now for the good stuff, VegasGems has a rakeback system, which is highly unusual for a sweeps casino. Players have a chance to earn back a percentage of their wagers daily, weekly and monthly.
The exact percentages are not clear but I was able to claim .40 SC in my daily rakeback after gambling a little over 5 SC the previously day. It’s a cool system that’s still being developed but you won’t find it anywhere else.
The VegasGems rewards system, which is already confusing as it is, also offers Bejewel Cases for users who recently purchased coins. You get benefits like double XP and special badges. XP is what you use to gain levels. The higher the level you reach (there are up to 120 of them) the better the Bejewel Case you get every day. For instance if you get to Level 10 you’ll unlock 2 x daily chests.
To get access to Bejeweled Chests you need to be “bejeweled”, which sounds complicated but just means buying a certain number of coins. To me it seems like an extremely bad value since you only have a limited amount of time to get benefits but maybe if you’re buying coins frequently, it becomes a better deal.
Finally there are no social media competitions to speak about because VegasGems has no social media presence. Just an inactive Twitter account. This is unfortunate, in my opinion, as the site has a solid foundation that they could build a leading social casino on while leaning into their oddball spirit, shards and all. Players like myself aren’t incentivised to share with their network.
At the end of the day there are some interesting offers available on VegasGems that can get you cash prizes, but it’s unnecessarily complicated. It would make for a better user experience if they streamlined the system, hopefully that will happen in the near future.
Coin Package Assessment
First off, you might be wondering where you even buy coins on VegasGems. Depending on the size of your browser window you can either hit the “Buy Shards” button on the upper right or click your coin wallet (also upper right) and open the drop down for Buy Shards.
VegasGems uses slightly different terms for its coin bundles. For most sweeps casinos Gold Coins represent the free currency (with no value) while Sweepstakes Coins can be redeemed for real money prizes.
On VegasGems this is what the coins are known as:
- Shards (SHAR) = Gold Coins
- Gems (VGEM) = Sweeps Coins
In this review I’m going to refer to both tokens by the more conventional sweeps terms. It helps for comparison to other sweeps sites.
When I signed up for VegasGems I received a new player welcome chest that randomly awarded me 25 gold coins (Shards) and 1 sweeps coin (Gem). The sign up bonus offer varies here with the ability to win different amounts. There is a bit of luck in getting a decent reward amount given that they are variable but that’s quite low for social casinos (for instance WOW Vegas offers a whopping 5 SC for new sign-ups).
VegasGems users can also open Daily Cases and win a prize worth anywhere from a paltry .10 SC to a staggering 1,000 but – and this is a big but – you can only open a case if you’re wallet has less than .25 SC. That means you’re wallet has to essentially be empty to take part in the daily log-in promotions. It’s a huge blow for anyone who’s looking to build a bankroll.
VegasGems is also quite stingy with Gold Coins and it can be challenging to play for very long without purchasing a significant amount of Shards.
The store itself is more on par with the rest of the sweeps industry. The cheapest coin bundle is $4.99 for 50,000 GC and 5 SC. There is a welcome bonus code however that provides a 50% boost for SC.
For instance, I purchased the $19.99 bundle (with 50% boost enabled) and received 175,000 GC and 31 SC. Not too shabby and I collected a nice amount of extra gems on my first purchase. Getting free gems is a nice bonus to be able to play on the site for free, But remember, that’s a one-time offer.
Here’s how the VegasGems special bundle compares with some of its competitors (this is including the 50% boost for your first purchase on VegasGems):
Price | Gold Coins | Sweeps Coins | Bonus Coin Rate | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Fortune Coins | $3 | 2,000,000 | 10 | 233% SC |
Chumba Casino | $10 | 10,000,000 | 30 | 200% SC |
WOW Vegas | $10 | 1,500,000 | 30 | 200% SC |
Luckyland Slots | $5 | 50,000 | 10 | 100% SC |
VegasGems | $10 | 100,000 | 15 | 50% SC |
Pulsz | $15 | 216,875 | 22.50 | 50% SC |
McLuck | $10 | 50,000 | 15 | 50% SC |
Crown Coins | $15 | 500,000 | 20 | 33% SC |
SweepSlots | $15 | 500,000 | 20 | 33% SC |
Funrize | $20 | 700,000 | 26 | 30% SC |
High 5 Casino | $16 | 100 | 20 | 25% SC |

VegasGems has some very solid payment options when it comes to buying coin bundles.
You can use traditional methods like Visa and Mastercard in addition to Google Pay. Sames goes for debit cards issued by Visa or Mastercard. VegasGems charges a small fee for traditional payment processors. You can also use cryptocurrency, which is rare for sweeps casinos. One common payment method not available is debit cards. A number of other sites use Trustly to connect your account to online banking for convenience.
You can purchase Shards using Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, or Tether (USDT). Most people probably won’t care about this option, but it will undoubtedly excite crypto users.
I used a credit card and it worked perfectly (although I did have to verify with my bank through a text message). It only took a few minutes.
Unfortunately you’ll be required to provide verification when you go to purchase coins, which can take a little while. You’ll need to provide a photo of your ID and go through their selfie identification process.
You have two options to redeem: bank transfer (for real money) or cryptocurrency. Crypto payouts are much faster and generally take less than a day, whereas bank transfers can take up to five.
The minimum redemption amount is 100 SC, which is the case with most sweeps casinos. Unfortunately, VegasGems doesn’t yet offer gift card redemptions. Gift card redemptions usually have much smaller minimums.
Review of Game Selection & Playing Experience

VegasGems offers a massive amount of slots from leading software providers, over 900 casino games by last count. Slots are the only games available on VegasGems (outside of one scratch card option). This is a sizable catalogue compared to other online casinos even though they don’t offer table games.
The majority of VegasGems slot portfolio comes from uber-popular slot maker Pragmatic Play. That means you’ll get access to mega-hits like Sugar Rush and Gates of Olympus. The gaming experience with Pragmatic Play games is first rate.
Pragmatic Play isn’t the only option on VegasGems, however, as the site also features games by EvoPlay, 3 Oaks, BSG, Belatra and NetGaming.
EvoPlay and 3 Oaks, in particular, have some great games so I was stoked to see their addition on VegasGems. I particularly like The Greatest Catch. Check it out if you enjoy fishing games.
Unfortunately you won’t find any tournaments or site-wide progressive jackpots on VegasGems. I’d imagine that will change as the site matures but for now it’s a very straightforward slot environment.
The navigation on VegasGems is not great in my opinion. It’s basically one giant feed. You can filter the games by the following:
- Brand
- Popularity
- Volatility
I do like the fact you can search by different brands (I like most Pragmatic games so that’s a useful filter for me) but it’s missing a huge number of different categories like “recently played” or “Megaways.” Even worse, there’s no way to favorite games so you’re constantly trying to find games you played before.
The saving grace is the search bar. It works well and – so long as you can remember the title – you can see everything using the search bar. One caveat about the search bar: It wasn’t easy to find. You’ll see it in the bottom left below.
I definitely experienced a few hiccups with the software while playing on VegasGems. I clicked a few different games that just 404’ed so I’m thinking it crashed. Once again, this is a new site and it’s clearly experiencing some growing pains.
One confusing element of VegasGems is the way it handles Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Most sweeps sites offer an easy site-wide toggle at the top, which lets you pick the virtual currency you want to play for GC or SC. On VegasGems you have to navigate to the coin wallet (upper right) and pick between Shards and Gems. It’s easy once you figure it out but it was certainly confusing at first.
One positive aspect of the site that I wanted to draw attention to is VegasGems’ commitment to transparency. You’ll find RTP (return to player) listed clearly on the thumbnail image for each game. I hate it when casinos make it difficult to find the odds on their games and that’s not the case here.
VegasGems also shows recent winners leaderboard on the right-hand sidebar. It’s always a good sign that at least someone is winning and redeeming prizes. Of course this can also be somewhat distracting with an endless scroll of random usernames.
Here are the most popular games on VegasGems (note they are all Pragmatic games):
- Joker’s Jewels
- Money Roll
- Money Money Money
- Big Bass Amazon Xtreme
- Master Joker

Trustpilot TrustScore
VegasGems has an extremely strong reputation on Trust Pilot with 4.4 stars out of 5. The profile has been claimed but the company has yet to verify the page.
There are 240 reviews on Trust Pilot and most of them are fairly positive. People mentioned good interactions with customer support. They also enjoyed the ability to transact in crypto. One reviewer said he made a redemption in less than an hour, which he’d never experienced before on a casino.
On the flip side there were several negative comments about redemptions. Some people also had issues with the two-factor authentication.
VegasGems doesn’t have a huge presence on AskGamblers.com but it’s mostly positive. The average player review score is 8 out of 10. Reviewers on the site also mentioned positive experiences regarding payments.
Reddit Analysis
As part of this VegasGems casino review, I analyzed every thread regarding VegasGems on Reddit and sentiment was somewhat mixed.
Once again users praised the payments process (particularly the use of crypto for redemptions). They also liked that there is no playthrough requirement for coins purchased on the site.
Here’s one positive comment on the payments process:
It wasn’t quite as smooth for the following user:
Mobile Apps & Play
VegasGems App Availability | |
iOS (Apple) | ❌ |
Google Play (Android) | ❌ |
Like most sweeps casinos, VegasGems has forgone dedicated mobile apps on iPhone or Android and instead provided an in-browser option for mobile play.
I used the Google sign-in option on my iPhone and it took less than 10 seconds to sign into my account. The mobile browser version of the site is decent but navigation is a bit of a challenge thanks to the lack of a recently played tab or a favorites tab.
On the bright side games play pretty well. I enjoyed some Gates of Olympus action from my couch.
There’s also a battery saver option if your phone is on its last legs. You can also play faster by using the quick spin setting.
The mobile version gets the job done but I still much prefer the desktop version of VegasGems.

VegasGems is one of the newer sweeps casinos, but it has several security features that should help alleviate players’ concerns.
One feature I was personally happy to see was the option for two-factor authentication. 2FA is one of single best ways to lock down an account and provide peace of mind. VegasGems supports both Authy and Google Authenticator for 2FA.
VegasGems also has an interesting game tracking feature that you can access by going to your profile. You can actually see every single spin you’ve made and whether you won anything. It’s great for transparency.
It’s also good to see VegasGems takes Responsible Gaming seriously and has a self-lockdown feature for players that need a little extra help.
Customer Support Experience
I was blown away with the customer support team on VegasGems.
The site offers two options for support: Live chat and email.
Live chat is my preferred option for support and it’s excellent on VegasGems. I’m used to responses taking one or two days but VegasGems answered me in five minutes upon my first request. It was the fastest response time I’ve experienced on a sweeps casino.
I had to test it a few more times and every time I asked a question they had a response in less than 15 minutes. The responses were high quality as well and gave comprehensive answers to my questions.
Needless I rate the customer support as excellent on VegasGems. It’s great for my needs. It’s not perfect however.
There’s no phone support and VegasGems doesn’t really have a social media presence. The website has a link to a Twitter account that has yet to Tweet. In addition the FAQ is laughably short. It’s barely a page long, when competitors sometimes have hundreds of pages for their customers to peruse.
Another knock to the customer support is its lack of a social media presence. This isn’t required but it’s always nice to have another way to communicate with a brand.

Final Verdict:
VegasGems is a bit of an oddity in the sweepstakes casinos world.
It’s got some very compelling features – tons of games, crypto redemptions, excellent customer support – but it falls short in some very basic areas.
Usability is clunky on VegasGems. It’s hard to find your favorite games and the site does crash every so often. During my review of the site it did crash a few times which isn’t that user-friendly. Promotions are a bit of a mess as well.
The log-in incentives to claim free gems were particularly bad and don’t come close to sites like Chumba Casino and Fortune Coins that offer you coins just for logging in each day – no matter how many coins are already in your account.
Overall the site could be more generous when it comes to giving away Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Most sites shower you with Gold Coins but VegasGems felt miserly in comparison.
That said VegasGems still has time to grow and if it can continue offering excellent customer support and alternative redemption options that it could become a serious competitor in the space. Those are two of the features that slots players care the most about (myself included) and VegasGems already has one step ahead of everyone in that department.
The bottom line? I enjoyed my time on VegasGems and I find myself itching to have one more spin on Sugar Rush.
