LoneStar is a sweepstakes casino from RealPlayTech, the same company behind the popular and longstanding social casino RealPrize, which lends this new brand a bit of extra weight right from the start. 

I tested this site thoroughly for this review, and a few key features stood out during my time on the platform. 

First off, the welcome package goes beyond the usual no-deposit bonus, with a scratch card, a prize wheel, and free spins over the first three days. It’s an exciting start to life on the site, and it made me look forward to logging in each day to collect my spins. 

As well as that, the library includes around 800 games from 30 providers; you only need 45 SC to cash out a gift card. The Trustpilot rating of 4.4 from just under 16,000 players is one of the strongest scores I’ve seen for a sweepstakes casino.

I found a couple of issues, too. There’s barely anything for table games or live dealer games, to the point where I questioned why these categories were there at all. I ran into performance issues pretty regularly on both my laptop and my phone. The live chat also sent me to a ticket queue rather than an actual agent.

It covers what you’d expect from a sweepstakes casino, but that’s about as far as it goes. Platforms like Dorados and Stake.us are doing more interesting things with their promotions, such as the bonus drops and weekly prize draws at Stake.us. 

At LoneStar, once the welcome period is done, the promotions are pretty routine. It’s still a decent lineup that adds extra value, but it is similar to what you’ll find at most other good sites.

No Deposit Bonus

When I signed up at LoneStar, I received 100,000 GC and 2.5 SC with no purchase necessary. All I had to do was register and verify my account through the confirmation link sent to my email, and it was credited straight away. The daily login bonus is available from that point too, starting at 2,000 GC, 0.20 SC, and 30 stars.

The Welcome Gifts were a nice surprise. Most sweepstakes casinos drop a sign-up bonus in your account, and that’s it. LoneStar spreads things out across your first three days:

When I made my first purchase at LoneStar, the Starter Boost was the only option on the table. You can get 125,000 GC and 70 free SC for $24.99. The SC count is what stood out to me; 70 free SC for just $24.99 is very strong, almost a 200% boost on the usual rate. This is a lot better than most other sites.

VIP Program

LoneStar has a loyalty program called the Loyalty Club with seven levels, from Bronze to Master. You progress by collecting XP through purchases and activity on the platform, with perks building up as you climb. The full list covers daily bonuses, birthday gifts, expedited redemptions, weekly bonuses, weekly events, daily challenges, exclusive games, a personal VIP host, 24/7 support, and even LoneStar merchandise at the higher tiers.

My issue was with the progression. Purchases are the main way to earn XP, and you need 5,000 XP to get from Bronze to Silver alone. I didn’t move far through the levels during my time on the platform, and I wasn’t surprised. If you’re largely playing on free GC and SC, the better rewards stay well out of reach.

LoneStar Casino’s Starter Boost comes in at around 180% SC for $24.99, which is up there with the very best offers in this table. Chumba Casino and WOW Vegas both offer 200% SC for around $10, so they beat them on rate and price but LoneStar awards more actual free SC. Jackpota sits at 150% SC and Fortune Wins at 120%, so LoneStar smashes those. 

The SC count is where it shines. 70 SC is the most among the sites here. If you want to maximize your SC stash from the word go, and work towards redemptions down the line, that’s a really appealing number.

I should also acknowledge that it is the most expensive package in this comparison. But when I look at what you’re actually getting, the SC volume and rate make it well worth the cost.

Pulsz and McLuck are at 50% SC, and Crown Coins, SweepSlots, and Funrize drop even lower. High 5 Casino is at 25% SC for $16. Against that half of the table,  it is a much stronger option.

Purchases

You don’t have to spend anything to play at LoneStar. Between the no-deposit bonus, the daily login bonus, and other promotions running on the site, there are enough ways to keep free GC and SC coming. However, if you want to give your balance an immediate boost, GC packages are available for purchase.

The packages start at $2.99 for 15,000 GC and go up to $99.99 for 500,000 GC. Aside from the smallest package, each comes with a free SC bonus. All of them also come with XP for the Loyalty Club.

When I made my first purchase, I went for the Starter Boost special offer. I used my Visa card, put in my details, confirmed the payment, and the coins landed in my account straight away. It was a very easy process.

As well as Visa, you can also pay with Mastercard or Skrill. There are only three payment methods, which is on the limited side. Sweepstakes casinos often don’t have the widest selection of methods, so I wasn’t surprised, but more platforms are starting to add options like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and crypto these days.

Redemptions

After spending some time on the platform, I accumulated enough SC to submit a redemption request. The minimum for a gift card is 45 SC, which I found much easier to reach than the 100 SC you need for a cash prize. Not every casino offers gift card prizes at lower rates, looking at you Chanced Casino, so I was happy with the options here.

I went for a gift card first, and it came through the next day. Cash prizes are sent via bank transfer and can take up to 5 days, though they were processed sooner for me when I’ve redeemed cash prizes on the site. Your bank plays a part in the timing, too.

Again, the redemption experience loses some points from me for the lack of flexible methods. E-wallets or crypto tend to be faster than bank transfers, so it would be nice to see them added. That said, the process was smooth, and I got my prizes more quickly than the posted processing times.

Game Library

LoneStar has around 800 games, most of which are slots. There are some table games, live dealer titles, and instant-win games in the mix, too, but not enough of any of them to call it a fully rounded library. 

This total number of games is on the lower end for a sweeps casino. Competitors like BigPirate, WOW Vegas, and Chanced Casino have libraries of thousands of titles, so LoneStar is trailing behind in comparison. 

The quality of the games makes up for the smaller number, however. Sometime I feel like sites with thousands of games have some filler titles that I wouldn’t actually play. LoneStar has a large number of game providers and chooses a smaller selection of the best games from each.

Slot Games

Slots are the main focus here. The library has popular titles, newer releases, and a few I hadn’t come across before that were worth the time. Trending titles that I enjoyed included Mutagenes, Paddy’s Payouts: Race for Riches, Medusa vs. Perseus: Stone Jewel, and Mega Mammoth. 

30 software providers for 800 games is a high ratio, so you get a slice of a wide variety of studios. There are Hold’em Wins, Megaways, and classic three-reels all covered, plus tons of themes. If you’re a slot player, there’s more than enough to keep you occupied.

I like how the lobby is set up with the games organized by providers. When I find games I like, I’ve found that trying other games from the same provider is a great way to find more games that suit my taste. That said, if you don’t have a specific game or provider name in mind before you start browsing, you end up just clicking through games until something catches your attention.

Live Dealer

LoneStar has four live dealer games: Craps Live, Live Roulette, Gravity Blackjack, and Crash Live, split between Iconic21 and Evolution. 

I’ll be honest, I don’t get why the selection here is so small. Both of those providers have big live portfolios, so it seems like a missed opportunity. Most sweepstakes casinos I’ve reviewed offer at least 20 live games, and some, like Dorados, have over 100 tables. Four just isn’t enough to take the live section seriously.

Table Games

There are six blackjack titles, three poker titles, and a roulette game. It’s not much, but it’s more than the live dealer section offers. I wouldn’t come to LoneStar Casino specifically for the table games, but at least they’re there if you want a change from slots.

There are no exclusive games at LoneStar. Platforms like Wild Vegas, High 5 Casino, and Fortune Wins all have their own titles you won’t find anywhere else, and it’s the kind of thing that sets them apart as leading sites.

LoneStar has a TrustScore of 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, based on just under 16,000 reviews. 71% are five stars and another 16% are four stars, which is a strong result for a sweepstakes casino.

Reading through the reviews, game quality comes up the most among the positive feedback. Customer support gets mentioned a lot, too, which surprised me a little, given my own experience with the live chat, but email support was good enough when I used it.

The complaints are mostly around redemption speeds. Some players, including VIP members, reported waiting for days or even weeks. It’s worth saying that verification holding things up is something you see complained about everywhere, not just at LoneStar. 

My own redemption came through without any issue, though getting KYC out of the way sooner rather than later is sensible whichever platform you’re on.

Reddit Analysis

On Reddit, most of what I found focused on withdrawals and verification rather than the experience itself. One user wrote, “Last week I did my first cash out of $100 and had it within 48 hours, no problems,” and another noted, “After verification, I sent my redemption request on a Friday and got it by Tuesday.” 

The complaints I came across tended to involve larger redemptions, where waits of over a week showed up more frequently. Questions about SSN requests during verification also came up a lot, though it is a standard part of the KYC process for redemptions.

A lot of the threads were from newer players asking questions rather than anyone actually reporting problems, and some of the negativity seemed to stem more from confusion than anything else.

LoneStar doesn’t have a dedicated app, but that wasn’t a surprise to me. A few sweepstakes casinos, like Fortune Wins, do offer an app, but it’s rare. On mobile, you’re accessing Lonestar through a browser, which is just the reality of using most sweepstakes casinos on your phone.

The lack of an app wasn’t really my issue with the mobile experience. Pages load awkwardly, certain things just don’t respond the way they should, and there’s a general clunkiness whether you’re on your phone or at a desk. It’s not something that only shows up on mobile, it’s just how the site is. 

That said, I didn’t find it entirely unusable. I played games, claimed bonuses, and checked my account, all from my phone. Sometimes it would stop responding, but reloading the page usually fixed it. That’s not what I expect from a sweepstakes site in 2026, especially one that launched in 2025.

LoneStar has been around for about a year, and from what I found on Trustpilot and Reddit, it’s built up a positive reputation in that time. It’s operated by RealPlayTech, the same company behind RealPrize, one of the better-known names in the sweepstakes industry. So, that also reassured me.

As a sweepstakes casino, LoneStar doesn’t require a gambling license to operate. It runs under US sweepstakes laws, which means it’s available across most of the country. 

The states where you can’t access it are California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Washington. You must be 18 or older to sign up and play.

Every provider on the site puts their games through independent RNG testing, so I didn’t have any concerns on the fairness side. Security was harder to get a clear picture of. The privacy policy says player data is protected using reasonable technical steps, which doesn’t really tell you anything. 

Looking into the backend myself, I found that the platform uses 256-bit SSL encryption, which is what I expect from any secure platform.

The responsible gaming page is quite detailed. There’s an introduction to social gaming risks, common myths, a self-assessment questionnaire, and links to independent support organizations.

Customer Support

LoneStar offers customer support through live chat, email, and ticket submission. The live chat isn’t quite what the name suggests, which I found out when I tested it.

To access it, you go into the help center and find the floating chat icon at the bottom of the page. You’re first connected to an AI chatbot, which can handle general questions. When I asked to speak to a live agent, it said that a support ticket had been generated and that the team would be in touch. 

Nobody connected to me after that. So what’s listed as a live chat is really a ticketing system with a chatbot in front of it. It’s frustrating that it’s presented the way it is, because anyone expecting to speak to someone straight away will be caught off guard.

I ended up going through email and heard back within a few hours. The reply was useful and dealt with what I needed. 

Ultimately, the support itself was fine. What frustrated me was the expectation of real, in-person live chat, which turned out not to be available, and I imagine plenty of other players run into the same confusion

Final Verdict

LoneStar is a solid sweepstakes casino with a rating of 4.4/5, but it falls short of the very best sweepstakes sites in the category.

There were a few highlights that make it a good site to consider if you want to try something new. The welcome package is the biggest reason. It’s one of the best I’ve come across, not just because of the no-deposit bonus, but because of everything that comes with it. The scratch card, prize wheel, and free spins across three days were a fun start and the one area where it felt like LoneStar was doing something different. 

Getting 70 free SC for $24.99 was a good enough reason for me to take a shot by signing up.

The Trustpilot score of 4.4 from nearly 16,000 reviews genuinely impressed me, and that counts for a lot. Players are having a good time here, and that does matter. 

The library isn’t the biggest or most varied, but if you’re a slot player, there’s a large range of providers with a well-curated selection of their best games. Plus, you only need 45 SC to redeem a gift card, and mine went through quickly with no issues.

The frustrations are hard to ignore. The platform is clunky, pages don’t resize properly, and I found myself reloading more than once on both desktop and mobile. That’s not something I expect to be dealing with from a modern sweepstakes casino. 

The live chat put me in a ticket queue rather than connecting me to anyone. And the table games and live dealer sections are so limited, it just feels like an afterthought.
