I’ll start with the bad news about Modo Casino. The no-deposit bonus is nothing to write home about.

I signed up for Modo, verified my email, and received 20,000 GC + 1 SC. It’s better than nothing but some social casinos offer up to 10 SC for new players, so it’s a bit of a disappointment.

Fortunately it gets a lot better when it comes to the daily log-in bonus and VIP program.

Streak repairs will let you fill in any missing days for your daily log-in bonus. It’s a really helpful feature that I haven’t seen replicated on other sites.

I personally hate it when sweeps casinos paywall their live chat support but that’s what’s going on Modo. You get access to live chat at the Gold Level of VIP.

Coin Package Assessment

The first thing I noticed about the special offers on Modo was the sheer volume of them.

Right off the bat I was offered a one-time welcome offer for a $.99 package that gave 17,500 GC + 5 SC + 500 VIP. That’s an outstanding value that represents maybe the best coin value you’re ever going to find on sweeps casinos so it was an easy purchase. We’re talking about a 400% bonus of Sweepstakes Coins, which is bonkers.

That’s hardly the only package, however, as I was offered five different welcome packages (although you have to pick one). It turns out I could take advantage of that impressive $.99 one more time but they also went all the way up to $209.99 for 2 million GC + 300 SC + 55,000 VIP. It’s one of the biggest amounts of free SC I’ve ever seen along with enough VIP points to get you bronze status on Modo.

As a reminder social casinos are always free to play and you don’t have to spend anything to play on them. Sweeps casinos do offer Gold Coin bundles that are bundled with free Sweeps Coins. Gold Coins have no value but SC can potentially be redeemed at 1:1 ratio with USD.

Modo Casino is decent when it comes to payments and prize redemptions.

The site is actually slightly above average when it comes to buying coins as it accepts Visa, Mastercard and Debit cards but also Apple Pay, which is slightly more unusual for sweeps casinos. Unfortunately there’s no Google Pay, Cash App or PayPal offered for buying coin packs.

Redemptions are limited to bank accounts and gift cards. Before attempting to redeem for cash prizes, you should be aware of some factors.

First off, when you go to redeem you’ll be required to provide proof of address (in addition to being verified already). That means you need to find a utility bill or government document with your home address. This can slow down the redemption process.

Modo Casino offers an exciting assortment of games that you won’t find on any other social casino.

Modo Casino gets a very respectable 3.9 stars in the TrustScore on TrustPilot. That’s over 1,285 at the time this article was published, which is a very decent sample size.

The social casino has also claimed its profile and replies to negative comments within a couple days on average. I found that most of the reviews on TrustPilot seemed well written and genuine so it wasn’t just a matter of review-stuffing.

So what are people saying about Modo on TrustPilot?

Several people praise the clean interface and UI (I’ve got to agree with them on that front). Reviewers also enjoyed the progressive daily log-in bonus, quick payouts, and overall selection of games.

Modo has a lot going for it but it does not have a standalone mobile app in the App Store or Google Play Store.

Instead, like the vast majority of sweeps casinos, Modo has put all its effort into creating a seamless in-browser option that works on any mobile device via a web browser.

Thanks to modern web technology, their casino software runs extremely well via browser and is so  user-friendly it’s a seamless experience. You get access to your complete account just by using your same log-in.

Unfortunately, finding your password can be a little annoying, but you can use Facebook or Google sign-in, which saves time.

Modo Casino has been around for a couple of years (which is ages in sweeps terms) and has built a reputation as one of the safest casinos in the space.

The Social Casino only uses high-profile providers to ensure their games are fair (although it doesn’t always feel like that when I’m spinning out of control on Sugar Rush 1000).

Customer Support Experience

I’m not going to lie. Customer support was probably the worst part of Modo Casino.

Most players on Modo Casino only get access to email and FAQ-based support. Live chat support, generally the preferred method, is only available for Gold VIP members. I really dislike it when casinos put their support behind a paywall and that’s essentially what’s going on here.

To make matters worse, I found email support to be extremely slow. The first time I asked a question via email it took two days for their support team to reply (to be fair, it was on a weekend). The next time it took roughly a day. I’m used to getting responses within minutes not days so customer support on Modo Casino is a significant downgrade.

When I finally got a hold of customer support, they were helpful and quickly resolved my problem.

At the end of the day though, Modo needs live chat, badly.

Final Verdict

Modo Casino is a very solid sweeps casino. Solid is the keyword in that sentence.

It just tends to do most things right with very few major issues. First and foremost, the software is rock solid. The platform is fast, reliable and intuitive. Software is an underrated aspect of sweeps casinos but Modo Casino gets it right.

Modo also has a huge selection of casino-style games (not just slots but table games and instant-win as well). The site has some spicy promotions with above-average welcome coin bundles and a daily coin bonus that can reach up to 1 SC thanks to log-in streaks.

Unfortunately, Modo loses major points for hiding its live chat support behind VIP status. This is a drag because almost everything Modo does is top-rate.

I really hope Modo fixes its shortcomings in customer support. That would turn a really solid casino into something truly special.
