TaoFortune will give you a 250,000 Tao Coins casino bonus immediately after you create a new account. While this might sound like a generous bonus offer, keep in mind that Tao Coins (TC) have no real-world value. They’re reluctant to divvy out Secret Coins (SC) off the bat, which are their version of Sweeps Coins. 

As a quick refresher, Sweeps Coins are used to play games and potentially win real cash prizes at sweepstakes casinos. They will sometimes give you free SC when you pick out Mystery Pots each day, but there’s no guarantee. I grabbed 30,000 Tao Coins and 1 free SC on my first try. 

After verifying your cell phone number, you’ll be prompted to pick one of three “Mystery Boxes” as soon as you log in each day. If you click the cancel button by mistake, you can access your bonus from the sidebar by clicking “Magic Pots.” Come back every 24 hours to earn free coins.

I did some deep diving on their Facebook page, but they haven’t given anything away on social media since January 2023. That’s also when they stopped posting on Facebook altogether. Still, they make it a point to reward players for their time and commitment with daily SC Prize Drops. 

They give out 318 prizes totaling 1,000 SC across all their games, so you’re opted in by default. However, you must be risking at least 0.2 SC per spin to qualify for a prize drop. 

If you’re selected, you’ll notice a 100 SC, 50 SC, 30 SC, 20 SC, 10 SC, 5 SC, 3 SC, 2 SC, or 1 SC prize appear on-screen. Best of all, you can win more than one prize per day so long as you remain active. 

Ongoing daily tournaments embody different, holiday-centric themes, but they share a central structure. The player with the most points wins a prize at the end of the event. Their “Pumpkin Smash” challenge is for Tao Coins players only. 

I tried my hand on Luxor Relics, but I didn’t stack any multipliers. The best I could do was a line hit for 72 TC. If you want to win SC you’ll have to participate in their “Slasher” challenge instead. 

My own bad luck aside, I love this TC/SC tournament because all their games (excluding fishing titles) qualify for leaderboard points. To make things equal for every player irrespective of their risk tolerance, Tao Fortune crunches the numbers based on your largest in-game win multiplier. 

Hitting a multiplier up to 10x gives you two points, while hitting a multiplier between 10x and 25x grants you 25 points. Lastly, TC or SC wins greater than 25x the play value earn you 100 points. 

Their “Pumpkin Smash” and “Slasher” tournaments boast prizes of 4,000,000 TC and 2,000 SC. The first-place winner takes all during both events so there’s added incentive to keep on playing. Looking beyond their tournaments, their referral package rewards you and newly invited friends. 

You can find your unique referral link by clicking the corresponding option on the sidebar. They’ll give your KYC-verified friend 400,000 TC and 0.5 free SC on top of their purchased coins when they buy at least $20 of TC. You’ll get 500,000 TC and 20 free SC for each qualifying purchase. 

There’s no limit on the number of friends you can invite so long as they satisfy the requirements listed above. Lastly, TaoFortune’s “Piggy Bank” works like a cashback system for SC players. 

As you play games, make purchases, win during tournaments, and receive daily bonuses, you’ll fill up your Piggy Bank with extra SC. Once you’ve gotten 20 SC, you can “break” it open before starting over again. All the SC in your Piggy Bank is transferable to your balance for gameplay. 

Like all bonuses, the SC in your Piggy Bank comes with a standard 1x playthrough requirement. 

According to their AMOE (Alternative Methods of Promotional Entry), TaoFortune will give you 1 free SC for each handwritten request letter they accept. This isn’t much compared to McLuck or Chumba Casino, both of which give you 4 to 5 free SC per handwritten envelope (respectively). 

I’ll discuss their assortment of first-purchase discounts and SC boosts in the following sections.

You’re under no obligation to spend your hard-earned cash at TaoFortune. While they don’t give out free SC to accompany their 250,000 TC no-deposit bonus, opening your first Mystery Pot is likely to result in a free SC bonus. There are no guarantees, which doesn’t sit that well with me. 

It’s not possible to purchase SC directly, but they’re given to you as a free gift with all TC packs. At the time of writing, they have two first purchase discounts available for brand-new players. 

Both options deliver a 100% coins boost, but their higher-priced pack is arguably the better deal.

TaoFortune’s payment menu is quite limited, but they’re among the only sweeps casinos to take PayPal for prize redemption purposes. You can use VISA, MasterCard, or Discover to buy TC. I bought their least expensive pack with my VISA for $4.99, giving me 50,000 TC and 5 free SC. 

While I’ve seen lower purchase minimums of $0.99 and $1.99 at Chumba and McLuck, $4.99 is reasonably accessible for most players. It would sting less if they gave out free SC after signing up. Before I dive into the process, you can pick either of the listed boosts on your first purchase:

Their most popular package is normally priced at $24.00, and their best deal is usually priced at $40.00. Either way, you’re getting double the coins you normally would, so I’m not complaining. I clicked Buy at the top-right corner of my screen and tapped the price icon next to their TC pack. 

I selected “Card” from the payment screen and I was asked to verify my personal information. It should match what’s written on your official ID document, which you’ll need to complete the KYC verification process later on. I entered my name, date of birth and zip code before clicking Save. 

Once finished, you must enter your card number, expiration date, CVV code, and full name. Type in your address, city, state and postal code before clicking Pay to finalize the transaction. I received my coins immediately after refreshing the page, and I was able to play slots right away. 

If you decide to play with Sweepstakes Coins, you can potentially win real money cash prizes and gift cards. Gift card prizes start from 25 SC, but ACH transfers and PayPal prizes have a 100 SC minimum. 

Before you’re approved for your first SC prize redemption, you’ll need to verify your identity with TaoFortune. This is standard practice at sweeps casinos for security purposes. They’ve made it simple to get verified, but you won’t notice the online portal show up until you make a purchase.

Choose which form of identification you’d like to use on the next screen. They accept passports, driver’s licenses, state-issued ID cards, and residence permits. Follow their prompts to submit a photocopy of the front and back of your chosen document, then click “Next.” 

You’ll need to take a moving, video selfie to confirm that you’re a real player. Sumsub matches your biometric details with facial recognition points on your ID to authenticate your personhood. 

It should only take a few seconds before you’re prompted to upload a photo of your bank card.

Upload a picture of your bank card that shows your full name, the first six digits of the card, and the last four digits of the card. Be sure to cover the rest of your personal details with a sheet of paper. From start to finish, I was KYC-verified and ready to redeem my first prize in five minutes. 

You’ll receive a message that your ID verification has been completed, directly from the website. Go back to the sidebar and click “Redeem.” You can request a gift card with 25 or more SC, but PayPal and bank transfer prizes carry a 100 SC limitation. 

I received a gift card prize to my email address just fifteen minutes after sending over a request. 

Later on during the week, I earned 100 SC on Halloween Bonanza. After I entered my account and routing number, I waited 48 hours until their $100 payment reached my checking balance.

TaoFortune is a slot-only casino, which means you won’t find any table games or live games in their collection. A handful of fishing games is the only alternative to 418 slots and progressive jackpots from 5 reputable software providers. Notably they don’t have titles from Pragmatic Play. 

There’s no way to sort by software company on the site, which proves frustrating when trying to locate your favorite games from specific providers. There’s a header for Octoplay, and all the games under the “New Providers” tab are owned by Booming Games. Aside from this, navigation is a crapshoot and could be improved for a better gaming experience. 

You can use the search bar to locate games by title, and they take the liberty of recommending popular titles that are similar to your gameplay history. I like this built-in feature as it introduced me to one of my favorite titles from NetGame: Diamond Shot Blitz. 

This retro machine embodies a classic fruit theme while taking its players back to the Elvis era with chrome-polished artwork. I chose to use SC, but you can play the titles here using TC and SC. TC are used for entertainment only, but SC are redeemable for cash prizes and gift cards. 

If Diamond Shot Blitz isn’t quite your speed, Captain Lobster, Dancing Lanterns, and/or Galaxy Glitter are sure to please. They’re listed in the top three spots under Tao Favorites for a reason. 

Notably, TaoFortune features a real-time list of their latest TC and SC winners in the lobby. I was impressed by how quickly the list refreshed itself but I wish there was a way to turn it off. I ended up trying to repeat history as I chased down wins on games that had recently paid out TC or SC. 

In other news, you can “favorite” particular games by clicking the miniature heart icon at the top right corner. This sends the game to your “Favorites” folder, permitting one-click access via the top row of menu buttons. Conveniently enough, you’ll see your Recently Played titles here, too. 

In between spins, I had the opportunity to test Fishing Kingdom. As you can see, it became one of my immediate favorites. If you expected a leisurely day out on the water, think again – Fishing Kingdom: Remastered pits you against schools of fish, walruses, hippos, and other sea animals. 

The unnamed behemoth pictured above is Public Enemy Number One, especially because he’ll steal your TC and SC if he reaches your cannons. Ward off predators, enjoy first-person shooter action, and reap free coins in the process. If you’re a CoD or HALO fan, this game is a must-try. 

Still, even the most interactive fishing game known to man isn’t enough to make up for their lack of tables and live titles. If you love to spin, TaoFortune turns mundane sessions into competitive events with daily SC Prize Drops and thematic tournaments that incorporate all their slot games.

TaoFortune has claimed and verified their Trustpilot profile, where they boast a 3.9 out of 5 star rating based on 491 reviews from real players. 57% of the respondents left five out of five stars. People remain impressed with their automatic KYC and reliably quick prize redemption speeds. 

However, many players feel misled by TaoFortune’s requirement to make a TC purchase before getting verified. Additionally, there’s a maximum redemption amount of 25 SC attached to free play winnings. If you use free SC as part of a TC purchase, this limitation does not apply to you. 

Reddit Analysis

Diving deeper into Rule 5.7 at TaoFortune, I uncovered a number of harsh reviews regarding the 25 SC maximum redemption for free play winnings. u/tldamico earned 250 SC, but his prize redemption was ultimately limited to just 25 SC because the Secret Coins he used to play games were originally from one of their free bonuses. 

Replies urged the OP to deactivate their account and inform the casino that they’d be taking their business elsewhere. 

OP (u/tldamico): “Tao Fortune just scammed me with the Rule Award 5.7. I redeemed $250, and they only gave me $25.00. Here is the rule:”

“5.7 The maximum winnings that can be redeemed resulting from a prize that player has gotten for free (e.g. after playing Magic Boxes game, completing Quests, etc.) are limited to 25.00 per account. If using promotional entries awarded within a referral program to play games, the maximum winnings amount to be redeemed is limited to 50.00 winnings.”

It’s hard to find anything positive about TaoFortune on Reddit. Another post on r/ChumbaCasino also centers around Rule 5.7. u/Rikkasaba wanted to know if every sweepstakes casino had the same 25 SC redemption limit on free play after his 1,000 SC redemption was dropped to 25 SC. 

Someone replied with a list of TaoFortune’s sister sites, all of which share the same restrictions.

TaoFortune doesn’t have a downloadable app for iOS or Android devices, but their mobile site is optimized for one-handed gameplay. It’s never been easier for me to have a quick slot session while sitting at the park, running basic errands, and leisurely going about my day-to-day routine.

TaoFortune casino has a number of sister casino sites backing their legitimacy, chief among them being NoLimitCoins and Funrize in terms of popularity. While people are ticked about their sweepstake rules (specifically Rule 5.7), there’s nothing to indicate that TaoFortune operates outside the law. 

While their 25 SC free play redemption limit is admittedly a shady business practice, they deliver unrestricted prizes to customers who buy TC and use the bonus SC they receive to play games. You must be at least 18 years of age to sign up here, which is standard throughout the industry.

Their games are governed by a random number generator to ensure fair outcomes at all times. However, I don’t like the complete absence of a responsible gaming policy on their casino site.

TaoFortune delivers 24/7 live chat and email support, putting them above McLuck and Chumba in this department. 

I spoke to TaoFortune’s customer support in hopes that they could clarify Rule 5.7 for me. I was connected to Chris immediately after sending my first message, and he shed some light on the situation. SC you earn as a bonus from TC purchases doesn’t have any redemption restrictions. 

While I think this stipulation is rather misleading, I was impressed by Chris’ quick and cheerful replies. Later on during the week, I emailed support@taofortune.com and received a response just seven hours later. Again, I was satisfied with the quality and efficiency of their assistance. 

For all their shortcomings, 24/7 live chat (with competent agents, no less) is readily available. I would like to see them implement phone support and start posting on socials again, but they’re fully equipped to handle your inquiries. Unfortunately, there’s no FAQ for do-it-yourself players.

My Final Verdict

TaoFortune appeals to hardcore slot enthusiasts, promo hunters, and jackpot spinners with 418 hand-picked online slots and progressives from the industry’s biggest names. I thoroughly appreciated the realistic animations, true-to-life graphics and thematic sounds accompanying each new spin. 

I can’t recommend their platform to seasoned online casino players because they’ve neglected to include live dealer games and traditional tables on their gaming platform. McLuck, PlayFame.com and Chumba Casino host several blackjack, roulette, video poker, craps, and baccarat variants for players who love the classics. 

If you’re content with their game library, you’ll have access to their 24/7 chat support team and daily prize drops with a top prize of 100 SC. Daily tournaments up the ante with top prizes reaching 2,000 SC for lucky players. If that’s not enough, you’ll get a mystery bonus after logging in each day. 

I can’t speak highly enough about their beginner-friendly registration and automated verification procedures. It took me all of two minutes to create my new account, at which point I received a starting bonus of 250,000 of free Tao Coins. Finishing their KYC through Sumsub took me another 5 minutes.

Unfortunately, Rule 5.7 will prove to be an issue for TaoFortune and their sister brands. Let me reiterate that you will need to make a purchase before getting verified and redeeming your first SC prize. Unless you’re playing with SC directly from a TC purchase, you can only win 25 SC.
