Our Experience @ Pulsz Casino

There’s a good chance you’ll never be bored at Pulsz Casino, as the site boasts hundreds of different slot games from various software providers. Once you start scrolling down the slots page, it feels like you might never reach the end.

Amazing game selection aside, there are a few downsides to Pulsz. The UI could be better, and buying Gold Coins is unnecessarily complex. It’s also difficult to find support options.

Sign Up Process

Creating an account on Pulsz is an easy process that’s similar to other social casinos. 

Pulsz offers three options for signing up. If you have a Facebook or Google account, signing in through those platforms will save you a minute or two. Clicking either of those options will take you to the corresponding platform’s sign-in page. Once you log in, you’ll be returned to Pulsz, and you’ll be ready to play and collect your signup bonus.

The third method of signing up is by using your email address. This option does require another minute or so to complete since you’ll have to input much of your information manually. If you choose this route, you’ll be asked to enter the following:

After you fill out the required fields and submit your information, you’ll be asked to verify your email address before continuing. Head to your inbox and look for the verification email. Ease of Use

If there’s one category where Pulsz particularly shines, it’s how easy it is to use. Everything from signup to exploring the site to playing is smooth and glitch-free.

The left-rail menu stays with you on most pages and most of the items you’ll find on it are named intuitively. On pages where the menu disappears, like any of the gameplay pages, it can be accessed by clicking the little white tab at the top left-hand side of your window.

It’s a small quibble, but finding customer support can be a challenge since the word “support” doesn’t appear anywhere on the page. Instead, you can click the FAQs link in the left rail or the purple chat button on the bottom right of your browser screen. My test of the chat function connected me with an agent in moments, which was a surprise since other online reviews of Pulsz were critical of support functions overall. Note that several reviews of complained of a lack of live support, but we didn’t find that too be true.

We’d love to see some improvement in the overall navigation when it comes to support.

Navigating Slots Games

The slots page is seriously massive, which makes sense when you’ve got a stable of more than 750 games and counting to choose from.

If you’re anything like me and you’re easily distracted by bright colors and pretty pictures, the many game thumbnails you’re greeted with on the slots page can be overwhelming. 

More than once when I was scrolling the slots page, I thought about how great the ability to sort games would be. Imagine my surprise when I found a navigation menu at the top of the page that had been sitting there the whole time. In my defense, a dark gray font on a light gray background can’t even begin to compete for my attention against the vibrant, colorful game thumbnails. 

Once I stumbled on this menu, finding a particular game theme or format made life so much easier. Making the sorting options more prominent on the page would probably do wonders for the easily-distracted among us.

Pulsz has search functionality which is helpful, provided you know the name of the games you’re searching for. That said, it’s a nice-to-have considering how few social casinos give you the ability to search. 

Especially in the get-to-know-you stage of playing on Pulsz, the most helpful way to find my way back to a game is through the Previously Played section on the homepage or by clicking My Games in the left-rail menu.

Buying GC & Free SC

As with any social casino, no purchase is necessary to play, but if you’re looking to pad your Gold Coins balance, Pulsz has packages starting at $1.99. Finding the store is easy (one thing casinos always seem to get right). Pulsz Golden Key and Extras

Along with Gold Coins and Sweepstakes Coins, packages include a fun extra called the Pulsz Golden Key, which gives you access to every game in the casino for 7 days. After that time is up, many of the games will get locked down and you’ll need to make another purchase to open them back up. 

Every purchase also gives you points in the Pulsz VIP program. This free feature is automatically activated when you create your account. Your status to start out is Bronze and then increases to Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Royal Diamond when you earn enough points to level up. Each status level you reach multiplies the total number of Gold Coins you get at each price point in the store.

Click on any price to begin the purchasing process. The first time you make a purchase will require a minute or so to fill in your payment information, but every purchase after that can be made within seconds. Buying a Gold Coins package can be done in one of three ways:

• Using a credit or debit card
• Through a virtual wallet service called Skrill

If you choose to connect your bank account, be aware that you’ll be guided through a process that requires you to log into your online bank. This obviously means you’ll need to enter the username or email address and password you use to access your banking information. It’s a common method for transferring funds to Sweeps Casinos but it makes some people feel uncomfortable.

Paying with your credit or debit card is as simple as inputting your card number, expiration date, security code, and name. It’s a much faster option than connecting your bank account when you set it up, but this is where you’ll possibly be hit with a foreign transaction fee for each Pulsz purchase. It can be a bit of a process, but Skrill promises safe and secure transactions with no declined purchases ever. If you’re new to Skrill, you’ll need to create an account and then go through the process of connecting it to your bank account, similar to the first method offered by Pulsz.

Using a card is far and away the fastest process, but no matter which method you choose, you’ll only have to set it up once.

We used a Visa card and it worked perfectly on the first try but others have complained about certain Visa or Mastercards getting rejected. If this happens to you, it’s usually best to just try a different card.

Have I mentioned that Pulsz has more than 750 slots? I’m no mathematician, but not only is that a lot, the odds are good that you’ll find at least one game that matches your playing style. You might be wondering if game quality suffers from the focus on quantity and I’ll be the first to tell you it doesn’t. I was skeptical at first myself. Some of the game thumbnails are hokey, but even the cheesiest ones are backed up by fun games with high-quality graphics.

Hot Hot Fruit is a prime example of the quality you can expect to find on Pulsz. Everything about it screams fun. Made by Habanero, Hot Hot Fruit is bright and colorful with photo-realistic symbols and high-caliber animations. The whole look is very 1980s and the game designers made great use of neon lighting. As you might expect from the game with the biggest jackpot, Hot Hot Fruit ranks high in volatility and its return-to-player is below 94 percent. I never even notice when I play. For a high volatility slot, Hot Hot Fruit hands out plenty of wins, but your luck may vary. Every spin is made exciting by the chance to activate the Hot Hot Feature, which changes symbols randomly and often turns a losing spin into a winning one. The music sounds like it belongs in the background of an overly-enthusiastic corporate training video, but for a shot at SC 937,500, I’m willing to overlook it.

Other Casino Style Games Available

In addition to slots, Pulsz offers other casino games, but don’t expect the same type of selection as you’ll find on the slots page. Pulsz is clearly focused on slots and it shows. That’s not a bad thing either. You’ll find multi-hand Blackjack and a Texas Hold ‘Em table game in the casino at Pulsz.com, and if you’re a bingo fan, Pulszbingo.com is the place for you. All three of these options are straightforward and what you’d expect from each.

In the slot-adjacent category of video gaming, Pulse features two Keno games, Classic Mines — think Windows computer game Minesweeper — Classic Dice, and Classic Hilo. The latter three, including “Classic” in the title should tell you that these are similarly to-the-letter of the game like the others. The only variety can be found in the two Keno options, but the difference is in theme only. Book of Keno is Egypt-inspired and Bubble Keno — you guessed it — has a bubble theme.

Despite the lack of variety in other casino games, the ones Pulsz does have feature the same high-quality gameplay and graphics as you’ll find on any of the slots.

The Casino App (Mobile)

Pulse does have a mobile app for both iOS and Android phones. This is another area where you shouldn’t expect the same variety you’ll enjoy on the desktop version. The app only has a selection of 70 games. Without context, that’s a respectable number, but that’s only 9% of the games Pulsz offers on its web version.

The Pulsz app also doesn’t include any of the other casino-style games detailed in the previous section, so it’s pretty simplistic yet I found the app to be exactly what it needs to be. At the end of the day, I’m happy if I’ve got a few games I can play during lulls while I’m away from my laptop. The app isn’t for you if you prefer choosing from more than 750 games.

Mobile vs Desktop experience 

The most pronounced difference between the mobile and desktop versions is just the game selection. The app closely mirrors the desktop version in design, so finding everything you need on the app is just as easy as playing on your computer. The lack of selection compared to the desktop version might be a deal breaker for some players.

Remember that you can always just play the full version of Pulsz on your phone using a web browser. No download is required.

Customer Support

As I mentioned, support seemed to be the biggest criticism of Pulsz in the online.

Our experience wasn’t that bad but it did take a couple days to get someone to respond to an issue we had buying Gold Coins. Fortunately, the support team was friendly and able to rectify the mistake.

We’ve also heard reports that some customers are given access to live chat while others don’t have that option. We had access to live chat but decided to try out the email support as well.

Redeeming Sweepstakes Coins

Like other social casinos, Pulse will need more information from you than asked for at signup to redeem your Sweepstakes Coins. Once again, the good news here is that you only have to do this once, but the bad news is that this process requires a bit more heavy lifting.

Pulsz offers the option to redeem your Sweepstakes Coins for a cash prize where at a rate of 1 Sweepstakes Coin for $1, or you can opt for a retail gift card. These can be had at a much lower minimum than opting for the cash prize — SC 10 for gift cards vs. SC 100 for cash — and will often be paid at the same 1:1 rate, although some retailers will offer a higher dollar value per Sweepstakes Coin. Gift cards are sent to you through email, so you can access your prize almost instantly.

Final Thoughts 

There’s a reason Pulsz has developed a significant social media following and user base since it got up and running in 2020. 

There are a large number of positives for Pulsz, including an absolutely staggering amount of game variety and an intriguing VIP program.

Signup is a breeze and you’re spinning within moments of arriving on the site, so you get to spend more time spinning slots and less time spinning your wheels with endless requests for information.

On the other hand there are a few things that could use adjustment. It’s baffling that Pulsz hid support in the FAQ subsection for one. Buying Gold Coins is also a somewhat confusing process on the site.

Overall, Pulsz is one of the best Sweeps Casino experiences you’ll find.
