New Slot Ahoy! Pragmatic Launches The Dog House Muttley Crew

The Dog House: Muttley Crew follows the daring dachshunds, chirpy Chihuahuas and pampered poodles from Pragmatic Play’s original title on a trip through the deep, blue seas. Our experts readied the masts and set sail to try an even more exciting rendition of The Dog House.

Pragmatic Play’s “The Dog House” was received with lots of friendly grins and head-pats when it hit shelves in 2019. Over the past five years, they’ve taken their successful storyline all the way to the bank. You can also see your new favorite pets in the Wild West or catch them rolling dice.

The Dog House: Muttley Crew is the latest addition to The Dog House: Dog or Alive, The Dog House: Multi-Hold, The Dog House Megaways and two jackpot slots that copy the original and Megaways variants of this game. You’ll have access to the full series over at McLuck Casino

WOW Vegas, Fortune Coins, Pulsz Casino, and other Pragmatic Play-affiliated sweeps casinos also have your furry gaming needs covered. At McLuck, The Dog House – Muttley Crew can be played using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. GC is for free play, and SC is redeemable for cash.

How Does The Dog House Muttley Crew Work?

The Dog House – Muttley Crew is one of the eight similarly themed titles released by Pragmatic Play, but this renowned software provider has connections all over the industry. Since launching in 2015, they’ve released more than 500 successful games to countless platforms nationwide.

Basic Layout & Volatility

Players can spin for as little as 70 GC or 0.20 SC. Maximum play limits go up to 777,770 GC or 50 SC. Aside from McLuck’s casino-exclusive Grand Jackpot of 6.7 million GC and 181,582 SC, players can take home up to 7,500x their spin value from a profitable bonus game or lucky spin.

If you’re prone to motion sickness, their ever-so-slightly swaying backdrop might prompt you to take Dramamine. I felt as though I was aboard a pirate ship with all the associated queasiness.

That’s not a dig at their graphics, though, as every spin felt supremely satisfying in combination with swashbuckling sound effects. The Dog House: Muttley Crew features a 94.47% RTP from the base game. If you land a free spins round, the theoretical payback rate rises up to 94.52%.

You’re greeted by a 5-column, 5-row grid. Winning combinations occur when you match up five or more symbols. This game’s high volatility means that wins are larger (but usually infrequent).

The ship’s doggy captain is the most valuable symbol, promising wins up to 50x the play value.

In order from most to least valuable, you’ll also find the princess-adjacent poodle, two shipmates and a regular dog bone. Letter and number symbols have the least value with wins ranging from 7.5x to 11x the spin amount. We tested out various bonus features that delivered even more fun.

Slot Features & Bonuses

When you land three bonus symbols, you’ll unlock ten free games. Landing four bonus symbols gets you 15 free spins, and seeing five bonus symbols appear earns you 20 free games. You’re able to retrigger 5, 10, 20 or 30 free spins if 2, 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols appear during the round.

The treasure chest symbol is the wild card, and it leaves a random win multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x when it appears on the reels. If you get more than one wild symbol at a time, their multiplier values add together. Your original GC or SC win is multiplied by the sum of all the wild symbols.

It’s also possible to trigger free spins on the back of a major win. If you win 100x the play value, you’ll unlock ten free spins. If you win 250x the play value, you’ll get 15 free spins. If you win up to 500x the play value, you’ll unlock the maximum of twenty free spins. Talk about a nice bonus!

There are no tumbling reels or unexpected bonus features to mention, but one could argue that is part of its mainstream appeal. It’s also nice that random multipliers can appear on any spin.

Even though I got just 35 GC from my original spin, two “wild symbol” treasure chests combined to deliver a 6x win multiplier and grace my bankroll with an extra 210 GC.

Toaster Takes $100,000 To the High Seas And Loots for Riches

Despite his humorous name, Toaster is an up-and-coming social casino influencer with 193,000 subscribers and counting. He brought a friend to join in the action. The pair spent 100,000 SC at Stake.com playing The Dog House Muttley Crew.

They immediately won 12,912.50 SC during a 25-game bonus round that demonstrated this game’s insane re-trigger capabilities as ten free games turned into fifteen and then again into twenty-five. Of course, he blew 16,000 SC on another 10 free spins because he can afford to.

Over the course of fifteen minutes, he exclusively purchased bonuses. While it would’ve been nice to see this dynamic duo try their luck on some actual GC or SC spins, it made for heaps of excitement as these high-stakes players indiscriminately upped their play values to 160 SC.

Eventually, they doubled their wagers to 320 SC per spin and purchased a significantly pricier bonus for 20,000 SC towards the end of the video. Had they saved some SC instead of blowing the remainder of their bankroll on auto-play mode, they might have walked away in the green.

Instead, in true degen fashion, Toaster and company burnt through 70,000 SC for a loss that translates to $70,000. At Stake.com, one Sweeps Coin has $1.00 USD in redemption value.
