That’s a 200% bonus on SC, which puts it near the top of the line for SC value. Most sweeps casinos offer closer to 50% to 100%. So this is, in my opinion, an incredible and rare value.

That’s still an outstanding value of 100% bonus SC, so I’d recommend jumping on it if you’re going for prizes. After that offer passes, you can still get a VIP offer of 200,000 GC and 100 SC for $74.99, a bonus of 33% on SC.

After the two welcome offers, coin bundles come at a standard 1:1 rate of dollars and SC, with one bonus SC thrown in for every $50 you spend. You can buy only Gold Coins for $2, but you can’t redeem these for anything, so I’d personally spend at least $4.99 if you’re going to buy more coins. That’s because once you spend $4.99, you get SC along with your Gold Coins.

PlayFame is a little limited compared to other sweeps casinos in terms of payment options. It does offer multiple options for payments for credit cards, but you can’t use Skrill or Trustly to make payments at this sweeps casino. It’s not a big drawback, but it’s a slight annoyance.

I used a MasterCard for my review, and I had no issues at all. I didn’t even have to verify with my bank; it simply went through and I had my coins in my account in seconds. I didn’t try Apple Pay, but I could have done that just as easily for a deposit. As the same debit card I used for my deposit is tied to my Apple Pay, I could have easily opted for that if I’d wanted to do so.

Prize redemptions are more intensive, which makes sense. You have to verify your identity the same as you would at a for-money casino. This includes uploading a government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license, passport or state-issued ID) and a selfie.

It might seem an annoying step, but it’s standard for sweeps casinos. They’re looking to prevent underage gambling, so it’s a small price to pay to aid in that battle.

I got mine back in four days on the same debit card I initially used to make my initial deposit; it was a simple and straightforward process.

While the minimum redemption amount of 75 SC seems high, it’s actually lower than many competitors. If it is too high for your tastes, you can redeem for gift cards to popular retailers for 10 SC. In most cases, gift cards will also process quicker than cash prizes.

PlayFame has a lower selection of slot games compared with other online casinos, but it still offers a nice library of options. I saw several popular classics such as Cleopatra and Wolf Gold, as well as a few newer games like Eternal Empress. These games all look beautiful and play seamlessly, making for a great experience.

These really are live games, so I had to wait until a seat opened up to play blackjack. When I did, the experience was similar to being in a real casino. It can be a little expensive (the minimum bet for blackjack was 10 SC), but if you’ve built up your stash and prefer table games, it’s a great way to play.

PlayFame has reasonably high ratings on TrustPilot of 3 stars out of 5. PlayFame has verified the company on TrustPilot, and it has responded to more than half of all negative reviews. People do appreciate the gaming library of PlayFame and the verification process, but they do think the redemption process takes far too long.

At the time this article was published, no complaints existed on AskGamblers. That could be because there were genuinely no issues or because PlayFame is one of the newer sweeps casinos available and hasn’t built up enough of a user base to this point. 

Reddit Analysis

From analyzing the threads where players are talking about PlayFame on Reddit, I’ve found that the player experience leans positive, with the biggest concern being the speed to obtain your winnings. Here are a few posts that highlight individual experiences:

89Kirito reported that taking up to two weeks is standard with PlayFame and other B2Services social casinos, and said that as new casinos open for them, the wait time becomes longer.

BottleMysterious4642 said that the verification process was incredibly easy, but admits it might have been more difficult if they had had money waiting. As they didn’t, they had no issues with getting verified.

Overall, the sentiment leans toward cautious optimism, with the biggest concern being how long it actually does take to get your winnings when you redeem your SC. Winnings do show up eventually, though, so as long as you have patience, you should have a good experience overall.

PlayFame does have a mobile app on iOS, and it does work consistently well.  I was able to make a deposit, and played my favorite games directly from the app on my iPhone 14. I wasn’t able to test making redemption so I’ll save that for a future update.

If you’re going to play on an Android device, or you just don’t want to download another app, PlayFame works just fine in the browser. 

Once I logged in, I had the same experience as playing on my laptop. The screen’s a little smaller, of course, but everything is there and works the way it should. I used the search feature a little more often in the app, because scrolling through 300+ games on my device was time consuming. But other than that, the user experience is the same as playing on your laptop.

PlayFame Casino is safe and secure. It’s a newer site, so it doesn’t have a built-in reputation yet, but it’s under the umbrella of parent company B2 Services OÜ, which has operated sweeps casinos since 2022.

Customer Support Experience

PlayFame’s customer support experience has some good and some bad to it. On the positive side of the ledger, PlayFame supports live chat, email and phone support options. However, that’s done in name only in some cases, as live chat is an AI chatbot and phone support is used only for payment problems.

Plus, in order to unlock the live chat at all, you have to make a purchase of gold coins. Most players probably will do this, considering it’s only $1.99 to unlock support, but it’s still an annoyance to have this behind a paywall at all.

However, PlayFame does respond quickly when pinged on e-mail support. The site says it strives to respond to e-mail inquiries in 12 hours or less, so even if you’re contacting them after hours, you shouldn’t have to wait long to get a response from someone. I tried it out for an after-hours question and got a response back in three hours. Even though I’d like more options, it’s nice that the main option I provided does get back to you quickly and provides a complete, thorough answer.

Final Verdict

There’s a lot to like about PlayFame as a sweepstakes casino, but there are some flaws I found that could be hammered out.

The biggest positives, in my opinion, are the generous welcome bonus and the availability of live dealer games. While I’d like to see a few more of my favorites, such as craps or video poker, getting blackjack and roulette was a really nice addition and gives me plenty of reason to return. 

The first purchase welcome bonus was also really easy to take advantage of and a great way to get started with playing. Getting a 300% bonus on sweepstakes coins to start my experience really gave me a nice base to play with without having to spend more than $10. I had plenty of options available and a bankroll that allowed me to get a feel for some of my favorite games.

You’ll find a lot of popular online slots here, including a few newer favorites like Wolf Gold Ultimate and a few older titles like Mega Joker. The menu is clearly laid out, and it’s easy to find your favorite games and pin them to your profile whenever you discover a new option.

However, the customer support really isn’t very good. The quick response time with e-mail is a good thing, but chat is locked until you make a purchase and is only a chatbot anyway. In essence, you’re almost on your own until someone e-mails you back if a problem arises. The slow speed to withdraw winnings is also a drawback.

The good news is that PlayFame has a lot of time to grow and can address these issues with relative ease. Once it gets these issues hammered out, it has the potential to be a serious player in the sweeps casino market.
